Math for the week of 5/25- 5/29: If you have a math textbook at home, please return it to school no later than Wednesday, May 27th. Failure to return math books, may result in a hold on report cards. Next week we will be covering the following topics in math:
Feel that your child could use extra practice on math facts? 1) themathworksheetsite.com -time test generator for math facts 2.) http://www.mathabc.com/- online math practice 3.) http://www.softschools.com/math/games/- online math practice and fun games 4.) http://www.mathplayground.com/- check out these fun math games 5.) www.ixl.com/signin/thrs -math proficiency (Please click here to download PDF version of the Saxon Math book) Please note that students should not be spending any more than 30 minutes on math homework a night. They are given roughly 25-30 minutes in class to complete odd questions, and are assigned even questions for homework. Therefore any longer than 30 minutes, may mean they do not understand a concept, or they may not be using their time wisely in class. If they are in need of further clarification, please encourage your child to ask questions while in class, as I am more than happy to help in anyway I can. -Apphia Chin |
